Cookie policy

The browser storage used for language, appearance and optional analytics.

Updated · 2026-10-19

Essential preferences

Perceptle Online writes a NEXT_LOCALE cookie for the language displayed on the current page. It is scoped to this site and has no explicit expiry in application code, so its lifetime follows your browser's session handling. Language links remain available even when the cookie is blocked.

The theme local-storage entry remembers your selected light, dark or system appearance. Local storage is different from a cookie: its contents are not automatically included in every HTTP request.

The game itself

The game does not use cookies or local storage. Puzzles and answers exist only while the page is open. Finished scores are sent anonymously for ranking, as described in the Privacy policy; that does not involve any cookie.

Optional analytics storage

Production builds can load Microsoft Clarity if its project is configured, and PostHog if its key and host are configured. These tools may set cookies or use local storage for visitor/session identifiers, usage analysis and provider-configured session recording. Exact names, lifetimes and collection depend on the active provider settings; this policy does not invent a fixed duration for every possible configuration.

Development mode does not load these integrations. Whether a production visit uses them depends on the deployed configuration. We do not provide an in-page analytics preference centre in this version. Your browser's privacy settings and content controls may block analytics requests, and blocking site storage does not stop the game from working.

Your controls

You can inspect, block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser's privacy or site-data settings. Clearing local data removes your language and theme preferences. It does not by itself erase previously collected hosting or analytics records.

For details about technical requests and contacting us, read the Privacy policy. Questions can be sent to support@perceptle.online. The service is described in the Terms.
