The service
Perceptle Online at perceptle.online provides five free perception games: Count, Track, Angle, Tempo and Split. You do not need an account. We do not offer payment, uploads, score history or a public leaderboard in this version.
Your answers and scores
Each game's puzzles and your answers exist only in the open page and are not saved in your browser. When you finish a game, its five scores and total are sent anonymously to our database so we can show what share of players your scores beat. We store them with a random game ID, the time, and a salted one-way hash of your network address that is used only to limit repeated submissions. We do not store your raw IP address, an account or any name, and the site never shows how many people have played.
There is no personal score history. Because results are anonymous, we cannot find or delete one particular player's scores.
Preferences and technical information
A NEXT_LOCALE cookie records the language used on the page. The theme preference is stored locally under theme. Loading the site sends normal web requests to the hosting infrastructure, which may process IP addresses, request times, requested URLs, browser information and error logs to deliver and protect the site.
The game uses browser audio output for Tempo. It does not request microphone access, record sound, or ask you to upload audio files. If you choose to share a result, your browser or chosen app handles the sharing destination.
Optional usage analytics
The production application supports Microsoft Clarity when a Clarity project is configured, and PostHog when its project key and host are configured. These integrations are disabled in development and are only loaded in a production build with the corresponding configuration. When enabled, they can collect page views, interaction events, device/browser information, identifiers and, depending on provider settings, session recordings. This is separate from the game itself; scoring in the page does not mean the website makes no network requests.
Provider configuration determines the active collection, storage location and retention. We do not promise that optional analytics are always enabled or always absent. See the Cookie policy for the controls available in your browser.
Contact and control
You can clear stored preferences in your browser's site-data settings. Blocking cookies or storage may prevent preferences from persisting. Existing hosting or analytics records are not erased merely by clearing local data.
If you email support@perceptle.online, your email address and the information you send are used to handle your request. Do not send sensitive information. We cannot retrieve scores, because we never receive or keep them. You can use the same address for questions about data access, correction or deletion.
Shared challenge links
If you share a result, the link contains your five scores and the share of players you beat, so anyone who opens it can see them. The preview image for the link is generated from those numbers alone.
Changes
We may update this policy to reflect the service's actual operation and will update the date above. Read the Terms for game limitations and use conditions.
